  1. hi, beautiful blog! my sister in law is looking for a young adult fiction book about an adolescent girl who spends the summer with two elderly sisters (possibly her aunts?) (ex ballerinas) whose lives emulate the plot of swan lake ballet. This girl discovers a secret garden and many other secrets from the past over the course of the summer. title is something like “secret of swan lake” or “secret garden of swan lake” … something like that. Thank you for any help you can offer.

    thanks so much,
    adriana

    • Hi! Thanks for your comment! The book you describe sounds familiar, however I can’t think of a story that has all the elements you list. I’d be very interested in reading it too! I did some searching and the only book I found that might be close is “The Ballet Family” written by Mabel Esther Allan (or sometimes credited as Jean Estoril). I haven’t read it, but it does involve a girl going to live with former dancer relatives. Here is also a nice comprehensive list of ballet-related fiction titles. http://balletconnections.com/Adult+and+Teen+Fiction
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help. I hope you find the book, and would be interested to know if you do discover it!

      • Hi, Thank you so much for this reply and the link! I will take a look. And I will definitely tell you if i find the book! 🙂 Happy Holidays, Adriana
